An alliance of 31 companies for 5G

A coalition of more than 30 technology and telecom companies around the world has objected to making the supply of 5G systems conditional on a specific supplier.
According to AFP, China's Huawei and Europe's Nokia and Ericsson are among the largest providers of FiveG technology, while Huawei is the largest provider of Internet FiveG services.
5G is considered to be the fastest internet service for downloading or uploading data.

According to AFP, a coalition of 31 technology companies has called for the introduction of a 5G system that is compatible with others rather than depending on one particular company's operating system.
Coalition director Diane Ronaldo says any particular supplier of FiveG technology should know that there are other options besides them.
The alliance comes as President Trump has accused Huawei of spying and banned the use of its products.
President Trump also pressured his allies to ban Chinese technology company Huawei. President Trump has warned all countries affiliated with Huawei that the United States will not share sensitive information with them.

The world's largest technology companies Microsoft, Google, IBM and Cisco are also part of the alliance, while mobile operators include US AT&T and Verizon, as well as European Vodafone, Rakuten and Telefonica.
Ronaldo told AFP that the alliance was not aimed at raising concerns against a single company, but at preventing a single company from monopolizing FiveG technology.
Ronaldo said the alliance of companies is also helping to promote private mobile networks with the help of the US government so that the delivery of 5G technology can be made possible through other networks as well.
According to the alliance, most mobile networks are forced to use the hardware and software of a particular company, while under the open system, any company will have the freedom to use the hardware or software.
Ronaldo said that 4G and 5G networks in Japan, India and other countries have been installed under the open system.
