The UAE government has frozen all the accounts and assets of BR Shetty, a well-known Indian businessman. According to Al Arabiya News, the UAE's central bank has instructed banks operating in the country to freeze all bank accounts of BR Shetty, founder and former chairman of the NMC Healthcare Group.
All banks have since frozen Mr Shetty's accounts, as well as his family's accounts and the bank accounts of companies owned by him, under the direction of the central bank. According to Al-Bayan, the central bank has also ordered the freezing of the bank accounts of senior officials and managers of Indian businessman BR Shetty's companies.
